It all started at a bank…

Back in 2011 I was approached by a close friend about an opportunity. He was the manager at a nearby bank in Homer, Alaska and he thought I would make a great addition to his team. Honestly, I had never really considered working at a bank, but it seemed like something I could really enjoy. I interviewed and pretty soon was sitting behind the desk at our local branch. I served clients the way I always seek to; with their best interest in mind. I consistently aimed to exceed Wells Fargo’s expectations and as a result was quickly promoted. Soon I was serving both individuals and business owners alike. As my business influence grew, I enjoyed connecting clients with services and strategies that were suitable for their businesses or personal finances.

Becoming a Financial Advisor…

In 2012 I was scouted by Edward Jones Investments and they offered me the opportunity to take my new found passion for finance to the next step: providing direct Investment Advice. I dove into my studies, got my licenses, and began to serve families in my community. Once again I strived to exceed expectations for both the firm and my clients. I dug into learning about investment options that would help people work towards their goals. As I learned more and more about the industry, Skyline Wealth Management was just on the horizon.

Birth of a Wealth Management Firm…

It was early 2016 and I was enjoying the opportunity to serve my clients deeply. A close friend of mine, who had years more experience than I did, showed me the value of running and independent financial practice. I also learned about the significant improvements my clients would experience if I was independent. The choice was clear and Skyline Wealth Management was born.

Going Private…

As time progressed, my practice became more and more established and with that came refinement. I invested in technology to help me isolate competitive options for my clients and the results were clear…it was working.

Years passed and our approach became more and more holistic: Planning, Investments, Insurance, they all found their place in the balance of people’s complete financial picture. In 2022 Skyline Wealth Management made the transition to Skyline Private Wealth as a reflection of our tailored comprehensive style.

Since going independent I have never looked back. My approach to planning and  investing has instilled confidence in my clients. And the best part: I totally love what I do!

I’d love to visit with you personally, learn about what is important to you, your family, or your business. Let’s see if you and Skyline Private Wealth would make a great match.

What is Holistic Wealth Management?

It’s so much more than Stocks, Bonds, & Mutual Funds.

Holistic - ho-lis-tic (verb)
Though normally seen as an adjective, when used in conjunction with a well thought out financial strategy, it becomes an action that is taken to pursue more well defined outcomes. It encompasses all aspects of a strategy including wealth transfer (to children, heirs, charity, etc.), investments, real estate, business interests, insurance, goals, cash flow, debt and risk management, tax efficiencies, and more. In the vernacular of Millennials and Gen Z, “Really Cool.”

It Starts with You.

Our holistic approach begins with getting to know your complete financial picture and goals. As we learn more about your story and what you would like it to look like down the road, we’ll work with you to develop your unique plan to address those needs. And as your life changes, we’ll work together to adjust your plan so it better aligns with your new path.

We believe Skyline Private Wealth's detailed planning process can be one of the most effective ways to pursue financial freedom. A plan like this, a holistic one, holds the potential to provide added guardrails for events like changes in your business, job change, disability, critical illness, or other sudden losses of income.

So how does it work?

1. Where do we start?

When we first meet, we’ll take some time to learn about you, who you are and what’s important to you. We want to understand your goals, preferences, what keeps you up at night, or even obstacles you may feel you’re facing. We’ll talk over what you are wanting out of a relationship with a Financial Planner, what your hopes are related to growth, or legacy needs. This is how we’ll each know if a partnership between yourself and Skyline Private Wealth is the right fit..

2. Going Deeper

After our initial introduction to each other, we’ll begin to explore concepts that could bring a meaningful improvement to your “big picture.” It can be very easy for folks to lose sight of their overarching needs in favor of passing distractions. We work to help our clients access competitive methods that aim to create greater peace and confidence.

Throughout the process, we’ll also do our best to keep from delving into jargon understood by financial professionals but rarely clear to most investors

3. Designing your Unique Plan

Let’s make a roadmap! Our approach provides each person with a guided process to tackle their financial goals, tailored to your specific needs.

All of our clients receive basic financial planning. We don’t want anyone to feel a plan is out of reach. However, many of our folks opt to go deeper into this process. To address this need, we provide additional options to bring greater clarity to Estate Planning, Wealth Transfer, Budgeting, Wealth Accumulation, Estimating the Value of your Business, Business Succession, and more

4. You don’t have to go-it alone

There’s an often quoted proverb that says “a failure to plan, is a plan to fail.” It’s pretty blunt, but it gets to the point. The last and really, most important step, is follow-through. Too many great plans fail for a lack of this. This is why we meet with our clients on an ongoing basis.

When new priorities or circumstances lead you towards different approaches to wealth management and savings, we’ll be here to adapt your plan so it “flexes” right along with your life. Knowing you’re not alone can be truly priceless and it’s our passion to help with this.
